My Regular Blog: Urban Legends, Folklore Myths and Fairy Tales

Mythbuster's Hub Challenges  (completed 29 hubs in my personal March 2010 Hub challenge, 16 hubs in May-June 2009 Challenge)

And as a special thanks to hubpages author The Lost Dutchman for nice reviews on 13 of my hubs, and for promoting my hubs elsewhere, I'm listing a few of my favourite The Lost Dutchman hubs below:

About Nostradamus, Obama and the AntiChrist , The Lost Dutchman Goldmine , The Lost Aztec Treasure

Here are more hubs that I think are great:

Pegasus, The Winged Horse by DonnaCSmith

Flower Meaning of 10 Most Popular Flowers by capgrasuper

Mythological Creatures by relache

Story of the Shifty Lad by Jerilee Wei

Myths About Dracula and Vampires by hassam

Dragons. Why They Don't Make Good Pets by frogdropping

Now - just for the record, here's my opinion on most 'boring,' 'most exciting,' 'most frightening,' and 'most time-consuming' tales to research:

Most Boring: Skinned Tom

Most Exciting: Mothman, Springheel Jack

Most Frightening: The Goatman of Maryland, The Bunnyman of Clifton

Most Time-Consuming to Research: Beast of Gevaudan, Legend of Sawney Bean "Beast" versions are related to werewolves and the information about werewolves, particularly in France and other parts of Europe goes on forever... "Bean" is an incredibly intricate series of history bits and possibilities all wrapped up in Scottish lore, partly explained, mostly unverifiable, and the lore goes on forever...I'll probably never finish 'studying' these topics.

STILL MORE HUBS I THINK ARE GREAT:

A poem by cupid51 will make you think about how you treat or judge others. The poem is called "Who Is Not a Beggar?"

saleheensblog has some wonderful ideas on why people should converse with elderly people. Please check out his hub, Time With Aged People and figure out where your comfort level is regarding spending time with the elderly. Additionally, saleheensblog has written a poem, Thank God I Am Deaf , that I found had great impact on my emotions and hope that it awakens your feelings, too.

Nell Rose has written a heart-felt commentary on a woman she and many of us loved dearly... the woman: Princess Di... Thanks Nell, for writing:

Princess Diana: The Queen of Our Hearts - The Day I Shook Her Hand   Many of us miss her, too.

SusanLang commented on one of my horror movie hubs a few months ago but her experience was much different with my Freddy Kruger hub than just spook movie fright that most people expect. My hub brought back awful memories of real abuse. Please check out Nightmare on Elm Street Rated R by susanlang to see how this differs from my Kruger character sketch and movie summary hub. Her story is much more frightening than the movie! Once you've finished with that, stop by lang58's hub to see how 25 Years of Love can heal personal trauma and help heal memories of abuse in relationships.

If you enjoy spooks and stuff, you'll probably enjoy BJBenson's real life spook accounts. I've gained much enjoyment out of checking up on BJBenson, her hubs and her awesome hubby: JUST SCREAM AND COVER YOUR HEAD is BJBenson's "Knight In Shining Armour/Protector" story... you'll find out about what her hubby does when there's a ghost in the house! Lookit the photo on BJBenson's profile page... her hubby... awe he is so sweet! What do you think?

Please give DustinsMom some unconditional support. You'll be sure to feel compelled to lend a hug once you read DustinsMom's hub, My Son Turned 24 but is Forever 16.

Blake4d writes thought-provoking hubs. For some tips on how to push through some of Blake's controversial topics, check this hub out: How To Read in 4-D

Grab a box of Kleenex before you sit to read kimberlyslyrics ' personal account, He Was My First, I Was His Last If this one is too heavy for you (trust me, you need to bring kleenex to your desk or you will drip tears all over the place) try something like: Fun With Fashion - Hats

Waynet is also a treat to read in many ways - whether you want to learn how to draw, read a horror movie review or learn to make money in specific ways online, waynet's one of the hubbers you'll likely enjoy! With over 500 hubs written by waynet, you're sure to find something you'll be interested in.

Sufidreamer is a hubber you'll want to check out if you want to know anything about Greece or Greek Foods and Drinks - Greek Uozo Etiquette - not to mention that Sufidreamer's worldview comes through in interesting ways on any of his hubs. Hurrah for critical thinking!

For something inherently useful regarding personal safety, read katiem2 's hubs about self-defence: Self Defense - How To Avoid Trouble and Self Defense When Attacked Fight Back

I've enjoyed marcofratelli 's poem Bite Me (A Poem) and hope that you also get a kick out of it!

If lorlie6 's hub about her best pet friend, Birthday, doesn't make you cry, it is quite possible, in my opinion, that you are not human. For The Love Of Birthday: The Final Days of a Dog . Please do take time to offer some kind words of support in the comments. *hugs*2lorlie

A totally cute story about The Adventure of Woody The WoodRat by Sweetsusieg is suitable for absolutely all ages!

Read some work from Jimmie Mac , who brilliantly manages to turn an extremely horrific life experience into a 3 part, gripping, can't-take-your-eyes-away series of articles. Filled with a scant but authentically-Jimmie Mac sense of humour while still conveying the stark reality of a near fatal accident, this Saga, "11 Miles From Home," is not to be ignored: 11 Miles From Home: The Saga Begins - 11 Miles From Home: Holy Sh!t What A RIde - 11 Miles From Home: The Rescue Wow... Thanks for sharing, Jimmie Mac.

Hmmm... Oh yes. And now -
